ahhh, sleep...and eyeballs

So today, my health is much better. I'm no longer sneezing and wheezing my head off. My brain feels a bit more clearer, and I can get work involving thought processes done. Either the red pills did the trick last night, I got enough sleep, or the rain washed away whatever pollen was getting to me. Maybe all three.
I took care of our new web hosting services today, and registered a new domain name. I'm not saying what it is until the little thing stops saying "pending" cause I'm superstitious and it's kickarse. And there will be smackings of foreheads and the grinding and gnashing of teeth....hopefully not mine :)
My appetite still isn't up to par yet. Besides a quickie breakfast, I didn't eat until about 7:30 (when my boss arrived about 1.5 hours late)...I got some potstickers and rice...ate half the order, and just went to heat up the rest now, and they're just sitting there. That wasn't a lot of food. And I just don't feel like it.

sarahlicious sent me pix of my new dreads....they're uber-deluxe gorgeous, and I can't wait until rakkasah to wear them! hell, I can't wait to get em! weeeeee!
Something sweet today...this nice fun-crazy lady we met at PantheaCon (I mean cool-crazy-funky, not nutters-crazy) called to check in about some of the stuff we talked about, and she said I really made an impression on her teenage daughter. She's wearing the hairfalls Khris custom made for her, and apparently is wearing her glasses, which her mom said is really hard to get her to do. Apparently, I'm the cool chick with glasses. *LOL* Didn't have the heart to tell her I'm planning on ditching the glasses for the most part ASAP. You know, I've had glasses since the 5th grade. Keith can't believe how big my glasses were throughout the years...me neither actually...they were HUGE! And part of the reason I fear bangs and cutting my hair short is feeling like I'd look (and somehow inversely feel) the way I did back in my early teens. My eyesight really does have a lot to do with the shape of my eyes. Back last May when we had both gotten the flu-of-death, the severe dehydration actually altered my eyes temporarily to the point I could almost see very clearly without my glasses. Weird huh? Though maybe glasses work as various forms of protection...I've lost count of the people who are just so stunned when they see me without my glasses...they just seem to mutter "wow...your eyes!" which makes me want to go..."oh damn, are they bugging out of my head again or something?" Do glasses really hide them that much? *shrug* I never really thought about it. And you make fun of the people who can't tell Clark Kent and Superman are the same person.
