You know, someone recently made a negative comment about living in SF in regards to the overcrowding and unaffordable living expenses. But articles like that make up for it. I want to go have coffee with whoever wrote it.
anyone who whines about SF being overcrowded and expensive needs to live in the washington dc metro area for a year. try living in a place that's over crowded, has horrible horrible traffic, lacks creativity, doesn't have as much culture as SF, is too conservative (for my tastes anyway), has horrible freezing winters and unbearably humid disgusting hot summers, has code-red air quality nearly all summer long (children, people with asthema, and elderly people should stay inside because it's so smoggy), where people stare at you if you look even remotely unusual, and is also unaffordable. oh yeah, and the people here aren't nearly as nice as they are in SF. not nearly.
you know, i totally would if i could just find a job out there. and my fiance would have to find a job too... there's no way i'm moving back in with my parents :)
I just keep sending the guy little thank you notes for the stuff he writes. He's quickly making my "best writers" tea lunch along with Alice Walker and Chaim Potok.
I really don't think SF is overcrowded, especially when you've been some place like Philly or Boston, and there's not a speck of green for miles. And the good news is that rent is continuing to drop ;)
