I agree. My cousin was a pretty good artist at 12, but wasn't doing gallery shows.

well yeah...mostly about a very young teen being pushed into the art world like that..the art world is pretty damn twisted, and they're pushing the fact that she's so young...what happens when she's not young and they can't use that as a gimick? Her work is lovely, and it should be recognized because of her vision, not because of her youth. The whole thing just sends up the red flag for me regarding her emotional well-being, ya know?

As a person who's practiced the arts all my life, stuff like that really does make me wonder. Just another quandry how some people make it (some w/o even trying, or at a rather inapropriate age), and others (who try and try, and might be God's-Own-Talent) don't. The art world is indeed bizarre.
Your art is awesome, though. Love the fluidity and motion in your work! You can really feel the motion in your pieces!
