Mom and I headed back into Philly to check on my grandfather, picking up grandmom on the way..he looks EVEN BETTER than he did on Tuesday, and was super spunky, perky, and just plain full of life and feeling great. Which reminds me of a dream I had about a month or so ago...and so that feels really good to know that that is in tune with things.
Took a little trip to South Street with Mom..which was especially fun because everyone was "oh, oh, be careful!" and it was even less oogie-boogie than Haight LOL. Got a nice little deal at a Moroccan imports place (Marrakech Express?)..more on that later...not as much cool imported stuff like you can find in Cali, but it's not bad overall.
The furniture in my grandparents' house looked like it had shrunk...I just got a lot taller ;)
Went to a basketweaving class with Mom...yes, I made a basket ;) I think next time I come out to visit, I'll arrange to teach a belly dance workshop at the OC Art Center...it would be definitely amusing for me, and fun for them.
I;ve been here since Tuesday and I haven't seen the Ocean yet...pretty funny...well, should make up for it this weekend, as I'm trying not to go insane when my brothers, their wives, and 3 children (ranging from like 8 months to 5 years) descend upon us.
And my Mom says my Dad is jealous that she's spending more time with me...which is funny, because I come wandering into his office, and he just looks at me...so I don't know, what do ya want? We really all band together against the rest of the family insanity (my brothers and their tribes)...I don't know..
AND I learned a lot about my grandparents' history today...must record that later...it's nothing short of amazing.
