random things

-whoa...WTF is happening on bellydancing? Did middle school let out or somejunk? whew..

-I'm hooked on NPR. It started with Mary at work, who on days when it's just her and me there, she asked if she could put it on, and I'm pretty amiable, as long as it's not rap music...and it woke my left brain up ;) And on the other side of it, Radio Alice really pisses me off---the majority of the DJ's are obnoxious, unprofessional, or just plain unpleasant to listen too, and in an 8 hour work day, I shouldn't hear the same song 4-5 times. So now, if I get there first, I put it on...and then I put it on in the Van...and now Keith is hooked...and now it's playing through his computer.....it's like, well damn! Here's where all the cool smart savvy people hang out ;)

-love the serger. LOVE IT! I have 16 bases done. LOVE THE SERGER! I didn't know sewing could be a pleasure until now! Weeeeeee! Have about 13 more to go. So I'll have around 30 belts, hopefully, next week! It depends on how nice my sewing machine will be to me when I do the grommetting.

-and we're going to see Harry Potter tomorrow night. I'm psyched :) LOTR isn't really my cup of tea, but I love HP :)

-and I'll be dancing on Sunday at Menara's :)

blessed be thy fat arse cat...

So, since we've had _mischief, who just had her 6th birthday last weekend by the way, we've noticed something extraordinary about her and our show stock. Whatever she chooses to sleep on, whether it's artwork, veils, skirts...it usually sells right away.

Well, over the last two days, she has been OBSESSED with sleeping on the corset belt fabrics. Not just "this is nice to sleep on"---we're talking "MINE! AND THIS IS MINE! AND THAT TOO! and don't you dare move these! WAIT! MINE!" As I write this, she's passed out on 4 piles of fabric. FOUR. She'd be on more, but I tried to clean up.

I'm a tad superstitious, so that's all I'm going to say. ;)

and one last thing..

webstats has recorded over 400 hits to the main page of the boutique, in just the last 4 days, with over 150 hits per page in that section..

can you tell I'm not used to an overwhelming positive and direct response to something I've done? Have had a long history of work being appreciated well after I've done it, after it's left my hands, after someone else has done something with it. Never a direct thing. It's rather interesting. And i'd better shut up about it.
