So, a while back, Paloma made the distinctive observation that when I wear my hair clips, I resemble a papillon.

Well, while we were in Santa Cruz, we walked into this one store, and I'm wandering around looking at stuff, where my blue clips, when I catch movement out of the corner of my eye, and it's this little papillon coming right up to me with the look of "is that you mama?" ..and there was another one right behind it.

Shortly afterward, a few stores down...a cat made him or herself at home *under* my skirt.
